Because of the new Pittman Act, the Morgan Silver Dollars were made once again for only the year of 1921. Later on it was replaced by quite the different design now known as the Peace Dollar. This 1921 is definitely the most common mint year for these coins.  A huge number of 44,690,000 were minted at the Philadelphia mint, 20,345,000 at the mint in Denver, and 21,695,000 at San Francisco mint so that year’s output was a large amount of the total number of Morgan Dollar struck in all years before hand which were 1878-1904.

The 1921 Morgan Coin

This beautiful 1921 Morgan Silver Dollar is unique from even other Morgans, and is valued more than silver prices.  The reason for this is that it was struck for only one year after a 17 year break from production or minting.  This also is intriguing because all of the molds were destroyed in that time frame. Everyone though that it would not be produced any more so in 1910 in accordance with laws they casts of the all of these dollars were destroyed.

What’s my 1921 Morgan Silver worth?

Coin collecting is considered a beneficial hobby because we all know that metal values are always in an upward stride. In the future, the values of metal such as silver and gold may be higher. So, it pays to collect even the oldest coins that are in its poorest condition because it still has an intrinsic value that can amount to something. This left the artist and sculptor with an issue and he reproduced the coin.  After all of that effort and trouble they only produced for that year and then the 1921 peace dollar took over (please see).  People all over the collectors world that collect the 1921 Morgan dollar are asking, “Why so many coins?”  Why did they make so many and then switch right to the other peace dollar?  Well this is obvious to some as we can see.  Many collectors love this fact about the 1921 Silver dollar, because now we have to ask which one the Morgan or the Peace…  This is one last impressive fact that the 1921 Morgan Dollar was produced more than in any other year;  totaling over 85 million!
